a little of this n that.......

First off between Saturday's mail and yesterday's 11 packages, the card donation total is up to 419 cards...that's crazy...

I am showing off a few things in the works, things to come to DoodleDragonStudios here in the next bit, I will not have a Digi-Stamp release this week. I have been drawing away on my new line of rubber stamps, yes physical rubber stamps for a not to be named at this time company...one would hope that I would tell you all but that's not the case today.... it will be announced soon...

A couple of weeks ago I finished a swap for a paper doll ATC (Atrist Trading Card). I made these little guys who once folded, (see photo below) are the true size of an ATC 2.5 by 3.5...

Here is the finished ATC all folded...

I am currently working on the SVG files for Kitty Kats

These most likely will be only Cut files not Digi Stamps for the time being...

Next on the agenda is some fall Digi's

ScareCrows, fally things etc...

A dragon for all season, this one will take a bit I am trying to make them both Digi and Cut files, but they might end up as Digis to begin with then cut files a little later on...

Finally

Some more Digi's with Not a creature set. I have had a lot of requests for mice, so I think this might be the one...

Thank you all for taking the time to read my little blog, I can't believe I have 670 followers, that's nuts...

A Finished Cut and Shaded Monkey!

Spent hours last night cutting, (OK my cricut did, but I had to load the paper and piece all these monkeys together)... Here is one of them finished and shaded....

This set will be offered as
Digi-Stamps with a colored version in JPG and PNG

SVG files for you to cut yourselves

and for those who don't use cutting machines a jpg and png version on the finished product like the monkey to the left.

It's a lot of work making all of these, if there really is no demand for a finished pieced version I might not do it next time. If you or others out there use these please let me know...

Thanks for all of your continued feedback, comments and emails. It makes all of this so worth while...

Today's freebie will be up here shortly... in case you were wondering...I haven't forgotten

Monkey adoption fees apply... it's not cheap cleaning up after these guys AND 4 kids...

With yesterday being a holiday there was no mail, however today I received 11 packages of cards bringing the card total to 210 cards so far to donate to the festival of trees, I think my postman doesn't like me...Oh well...it's for a good cause and the exercise might help him...

Tuesday Stuff

The last 2 months I have donated an illustration to a website called storiesforchildrenmagazine.org. I have a link to this month's illustration for a poem about a monster hiding under the bed here, I didn't write the poem, just illustrated it...

http://storiesforchildrenmagazine.org

I have received a lot of positive response to the blog candy that I mentioned yesterday and actually received my first package today...

I will have a freebie tomorrow for sure, I am feeling better and getting back on track...

Blog Candy Alert...

Well the response has been pretty good, I am still waiting to find out the address for the donations if you want to send them there directly, if not you can send me an email dustin_pike@yahoo.com and I will give you my address to send these and I will run them down on the 2nd of November to the hospital itself. I need these in hand Halloween weekend so I can take them the next monday.

http://www.festivaloftreesutah.org is the link if you'd like to read more about it yourselves.

So here it is...

Donate 5 or 6 Cards, does not have to be Christmas, some others might be good so that people can use them for the rest of the year as well. Send them to myself or the hospital once I get the address I will let you all know. Cards can be the same, can be different, they are asking...

"It is helpful if the donor includes the cost of materials for each item. Our goal is to price items at market value. The quality of work, the cost of materials, and the colors influence the price.

Just for playing along I will send each person a download link for 30 images once I receive the cards. And one lucky random winner will receive a hand sculpted Doodle Christmas Dragon ornament... (photo coming soon) IF you live out of the US and you are the chosen random winner I will still send the ornament to you. Don't worry about postage, this is open to everyone...

Questions, comments, concerns...

Sunday This N That...

A challenge idea...???

A while back I showed off a Dragon head sculpted out of clay. I am working on a challenge for everyone to play along with. Each December there is a Festival of Trees in Utah...All the money made from the auctioning of trees and the gift boutique go to the Primary Children's medical Center. here is a link http://www.festivaloftreesutah.org In the boutique they are looking for donations. Here's what I have been thinking... What if... Since you are all a bunch of crafty card making individuals.... you create 5 or 6 Christmas cards, with envelopes and send them either to myself or I will get the donation address... these need to be here by November 1st so they can price them and sell them the first weekend in December at the Festival...

One random winner will win an original hand sculpted Christmas Dragon Ornament... the rest who play along will receive a free download of 30 to 40 images...not released, maybe released at a later time, maybe not. I have them drawn and sitting in a folder...

IF you want to make the cards all the same you may, if you want them all to be different that is fine as well. Also you don't need to use on my images, I'd like a few of them to show up, but it's more about the proceeds going to kids than it is my own ego... so the choice will be yours. If you have an idea for a card image in mind you can ask to see one, you never know what shows up on freebie wednesday, and yes I know I missed last week, I thought I had the Dino-Flu after going to the Dino park, BUT I have a sinus infection ....yeah me...

Secondly...

I have been working on a few cut files after receiving a few ideas from some people... they are all cat inspired... I believe I have worked out a few other cutting file extensions as well.

I will announce this all officially as soon as I receive information on the donations and if there is anyone out there that wants to play along with this challenge...
