Here is a little about Jane for your reading pleasure.
Hello everyone, my name is Jane Allen, although many in the crafting world know me as Box of Colours. I live in Bedfordshire, England and have been married to my husband Peter for nearly 17 years and we have one son, Ben. Although Peter is a farmer, we don’t actually live on a farm, having said that we do on occasion have a tractor parked outside the front of the house! Oops, I nearly forgot the last member of the family, Roo, our Westie, dim but adorable!!
I have been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil, an artistic flair I inherited from my Grandmothers, both of whom were talented artists. Over the years I have tried my hand at many different things – before I got in to card making I was painting portraits in watercolour, somewhat unforgiving if you make a mistake but ideal when Ben was small. Can you imagine the mess curious little fingers would make if I had been painting in oils. Due to a house move a few years ago I packed up my paints & took up card making. Before long I was hooked on die cutting, a hobby which ultimately led me to designing over 20 Exclusive Quickutz dies. Then, last summer I bought my first Copic Sketch! Like with the watercolours, I’ve taught myself, so I probably break all the rules, but hey if it works for me why worry! It wasn’t long before my small collection of markers had grown to a complete set & I soon discovered the wonderful world of Digital Stamps.
That’s when I stumbled across a guy called Dustin Pike. His quirky, fun images appealed to my sense of humour and I’ve been honing my Copics skills using his stamps ever since, many of which can be seen on my blog HERE. I am thrilled to been asked to join the team & look forward to working with Dustin and the gang.
