Happy St. George's Day show and tell.

Well it's not mine to really show and tell, but a friend sent me a link to a really awesome card she had made and I asked if I could share it.

Here is the link to Claire's blog...

I have to admit being from the U.S. I had no idea what St. George's Day was and I am sure there are plenty of other holiday's celebrated by some of my follower's (makes me sound like a cult) around the globe. I thought boxing day in Canada was a sports day for actual boxing...Anyways her coloring style is so cool I thought I would share it with the world of DoodleDragon...She uses Promarkers to color, I love my Tombow's but might have to give these a try, I recently bought some copics and I will just say it was a waste of money...Sad I know...

Blog-Iversary is wrapping up. Only 16 hrs to get in on the deal and comment for a chance to win original art...

  1. Fantastic St Georges Day card - As the English member of the crew I thought I'd explain:
St George is the Patron Saint of England, and we celebrate it on April 23. Wales has St David (March 1), Ireland has St Patrick (March 17) and Scotland has St Andrew (November 30)

  4. Um, I must say I disagree with your 'waste of money' on your Copics. It's a good thing I love your drawings and am a member of your 'cult' or I might wonder about you.

I didn't know what St George's Day was either. Thank you, Jane, for explaining. Claire made a beautiful card. St George will be proud!

I do know what Boxing Day is. And it doesn't involve knocking out your hungover relatives.

  5. Please give the COPICs another try! They take a little getting used to, but are so great once you get the hang of them!

Thank you for all your kind comments on my card. I chose promarkers over copics mainly on price. copics are more than twice the price in the UK. From what I understand from others I have spoken to (not used copics myself) Promarkers are fairly foolproof and really easy to use in comparison.

I love Dustin's images and am thrilled he thought my treatment of his design is worthy of sharing.

Sorry, I should clarify. I meant more than twice the price of promarkers.
