Sunday This N That...

A challenge idea...???

A while back I showed off a Dragon head sculpted out of clay. I am working on a challenge for everyone to play along with. Each December there is a Festival of Trees in Utah...All the money made from the auctioning of trees and the gift boutique go to the Primary Children's medical Center. here is a link http://www.festivaloftreesutah.org In the boutique they are looking for donations. Here's what I have been thinking... What if... Since you are all a bunch of crafty card making individuals.... you create 5 or 6 Christmas cards, with envelopes and send them either to myself or I will get the donation address... these need to be here by November 1st so they can price them and sell them the first weekend in December at the Festival...

One random winner will win an original hand sculpted Christmas Dragon Ornament... the rest who play along will receive a free download of 30 to 40 images...not released, maybe released at a later time, maybe not. I have them drawn and sitting in a folder...

IF you want to make the cards all the same you may, if you want them all to be different that is fine as well. Also you don't need to use on my images, I'd like a few of them to show up, but it's more about the proceeds going to kids than it is my own ego... so the choice will be yours. If you have an idea for a card image in mind you can ask to see one, you never know what shows up on freebie wednesday, and yes I know I missed last week, I thought I had the Dino-Flu after going to the Dino park, BUT I have a sinus infection ....yeah me...

Secondly...

I have been working on a few cut files after receiving a few ideas from some people... they are all cat inspired... I believe I have worked out a few other cutting file extensions as well.

I will announce this all officially as soon as I receive information on the donations and if there is anyone out there that wants to play along with this challenge...

Dustin

  1. What a great idea! Couple of questions--
Do all the cards need to be the same or different? Do these need or do you want your images used to make the cards? I'm totally up for this. : )

  26. i'd love to do this as well.. I actually already have quite a few of cards with your images already completed and sitting to be used.

Would need your mailing info as well.

I think you should collect them (although it's a bigger feat then one thinks). It would be neat to see what everyone has done with your images, plus it would be kind of cool to donate say 1,000 cards made by lots of people all with your art in one huge lump. :)
