Sneek Peek, This n That...Ramble, Babble etc...

So this past Saturday I had the opportunity to sit thru another Dance Competition, this one was a little shorter, 10 hrs. and my 5 yr old wasn't there to entertain. So in the spare moments between my daughters dances I came up with these. The Dragon one was inspired by the movie "How to train your Dragon"... awesome movie, my 5 yr old didn't move or ask to go potty once during the whole film, believe me that's a miracle in itself. The other cards of course inspired by my favorite movie this year and the animated version is probably my number one film of all time, I love the story of "Alice"...

 Closer versions of the cards.
And one more

I also had the chance to work on some new art...

Just a rough of a few bugs...

The bunny and turtle I call "Toby" and "Buster" I think you can figure out which is which, I have about 6 more of these guys together, looking for springtime suggestions that they could be doing together, I have Spring/Cabin Fever and am sooooo ready for it to be permanently warm, it's been warm here but snow and rain off an on and tomorrow we are supposed to get more of both...YUCK!!!

I haven't paid attention to how many followers I have had lately and was surprised to see that I have 982, once I get to 1000 I will have a special treat for all, so the sooner you can get a friend to "follow" my blog the sooner you can get a goodie...I can't believe Easter is this Sunday. This year is flying by fast. Doesn't help that March I have dance classes, dance competitions, extra dance practices as well as soccer practice and games, and my oldest is returning to Lagoon to work for the summer, so there's pre-season stuff too. Busy, Busy busy, but hey it keeps me out of trouble, Oh yes and a High Hopes Release sometime soon...

Thanks for sticking with me, I can be flakey and unresponsive at times...

Fab pics Dustin although I'm not an Alice fan bad memories of being scared of falling down the hole and the Cheshire cat all I can really remember is bieng taken from the cinema screaming but love your images.
Springtime activites, playing in bluebell wood maybe with fairies, definitly April showers and the kids on our road go bonkers when the cherry blossom are in bloom and start to fall like snow, will be intresting to see if they do this year as we have had so much of the real stuff. Playing at football (sorry you call it soccar) and bike riding and of course eating icecream in the first spring sunshine. Sorry can think of anymore, oops one just popped in my head how about spring cleaning . Will stop waffling now thanks Julye

Dustin,

I just love your work! I can't wait to see more! I love the new images you drew up at your daughters competitions. I see you're son is beginning work at Lagoon, does this mean you are in UT? I am in UT too!

Spring ideas!! Playground fun (sliding, see saw, swings), riding bikes, definitely rain and puddle jumping, smelling flowers, roller skating, I think some fun "sitting" images would be cute with some additional accessories like tree stumps, flowers, etc...

Keep up the great work!

These are fabulous, Dustin! What a wonderful thing to be able to draw like that in between your daughters' dance numbers.

How about Toby and Buster chasing butterflies? And it wouldn't be spring if they didn't play in the rain. :)
